Đà Nẵng is the central hub. Less touristy than Hội An, it offers long beaches, a renowned local cuisine (mì Quảng, bánh xèo) and excursions to the Marble Mountains or Bà Nà Hills.

1 to 3 days are enough, often used as a base to explore Hội An (30 min) and Huế (2h).
